Burmese Dha of very beautiful workmanship, blade of traditional shape but richly inlaid with silver wire of a saraband of characters, scrolls of foliage and long texts. The work of inlay of silver taken up with the échope is of an extraordinary quality. Wooden flare dressed with a silver leaf richly decorated with scenes of local mythology and stylized animals (tiger, cobra ...). The decoration in the silver leaf is in the form of an engraving with blackened backgrounds to give a relief and a striking contrast to the whole. The wooden scabbard is also covered with a silver leaf and cartouches presenting animal profiles of the local fauna. (1)
