Nice little sponge stylet, total length 185 mm long, flat sided blade with wide cutting edge, counter cutting edge at the half, remains of acid etching at the ricasso. Blade mounted with tang, octagonal conical spindle in black wood decorated with alternating mother-of-pearl plates on the main sides, and a thin plate with a twisted decoration imitating a silver rope on the secondary sides, scalloped and line-decorated conical headstock with a bead, bolster of the pommel with 4 rounded sides. Beautiful head of Moor stamped on the pommel plate attributing this stylet to Corsica. In a wooden scabbard dressed with brown velvet and three silver trimmings with braces (Condition 1).
