German training Schläger from the end of the 19th century for the practice of Mensur. This fencing fight with sharp weapons on both sides of the blade between 2 opponents was strictly regulated and is still practiced nowadays in the student environment. It is a confrontation to show one's bravery and to defend one's honor, sometimes resulting in serious injuries to the face. Practiced especially in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Blade length of 77.5 cm.
