TWO BANG CHIANG VASES DATING: 600-300 b.c.e. MATERIAL AND TECHNIQUE: brown depured clay, white glaze, red paint, molded by slow lathe. Olla with high everted rim, cylindrical neck, fold at base of neck, ovoid body, cylindrical foot; ollet with flared rim, globular body, truncated cone foot DECORATION: decorated with geometrically patterned incisions and lines in red PRODUCTION: Thai pottery, Bang Chiang culture. STATE OF CONSERVATION: one intact, the other with a lacuna on the lip DIMENSIONS: h. cm 33 to cm 15; mouth diam. cm 35 to cm 11.5 ORIGIN: private collection, Turin
