Silk SINKIANG carpet (Central Asia), mid 20th century
Dimensions : 275 x 190cm.
Technical characteristics : Silk velvet on silk foundation.
An oblong ivory field, with braces, supports a floral rosette, all in polychromy and its pendants. Four ruby spandrels with multicolored vegetal arabesques enclose the whole. A Greek counter-border and another with a floral ribbon frame the main ruby border with floral stems.
