MÉCHED KHORASSAN carpet, (Persia), 1st third of the 20th century
Dimensions : 376 x 265cm.
Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on a cotton foundation.
A rectangular ivory field is decorated with delicate flowering stems of reddish hues. The tangle brings out "subliminal" medallions in the form of "peak", interspersed with flowers with pistils. Three blue borders with multicolored flowers, act as a frame. Signature Abjad inside a red cartouche.
