Very strong and curious flintlock rifle called "de hune", huge iron barrel, octagonal on the whole length, entirely engraved in depth, in the thunder and in the middle, on the three upper sides and, on the whole length, on the upper side, of foliage and of an inscription: "FURIUES JE SUIES MAIES SANS FEU JE NE PUIS - 1589", it is hallmarked twice with a crown and an unidentified square mark; length 146.5 cm, caliber 19 mm; military lock circa 1760, flat-bodied, hallmarked: "S. E. B." surmounted by a crown and signed: "CARRIER. E"; iron fittings, also of military type, trigger guard equipped with a ring; walnut stock; wooden ramrod finished with an iron pastille; total length 1,86 m. (Restored barrel, part not dismantled).
Middle 18th century, mounted with a late 16th century barrel. Good condition.
