Hagæ-Comitum [The Hague], Sumptibus Curâ Rutgeri Christophori, Alberts, 1726. 4 volumes in 2 large folio volumes, half brown morocco with corners, spine with ornamented nerves (early 20th c. binding). Volume I : " Pedemontii Descriptionem Geographicam, Regiæ Domus Sabaudæ Historiam Augustæ Taurinorum historicam Descriptionem ". Volume II : " Quasdam dissertationes de Origine, insignibus, militaribus ordinibus, Juribus, commodisque Regiæ Domus Sabaudæ nec non Geographicam Sabaudiæ Descriptionem, Tabulas Urbium, Castrorum, ac præcipuorum locorum in Sabaudia, Mauriana Focunatibus, Genevensi, Chablasio Augustana-Valle." Three title-frontispieces, a large genealogical table of the house of Savoy, four portraits of the dukes of Savoy (Charles Emmanuel II, Victor Amédée II, Marie Jeanne Baptiste Prince Eugène, a plate bearing the great arms of the house of Savoy and 102 others, most of them double or folded, including several maps or plans of the main cities of Savoy and Piedmont (24+27+23+28); vignettes, culs-de-lampe and lettrines. Joints of volume II cracked on fifteen cm; freckles and a few russeted quires; three maps bound backwards. ONE OF THE GREATEST BOOKS ON THE PIEDMONT LA SAVOIE.
