ACTRESSES: A good, small selection of signed and inscribed 8 x 10 photographs and slightly smaller (2), most vintage, by various Hollywood film actresses comprising Lee Remick (standing in a three-quarter length pose in costume as Temple Drake from the film Sanctuary, 1961), Alexis Smith (seated in a half-length pose in costume as Linda Lee Porter enjoying a drink with Cary Grant, in costume as her husband Cole Porter, in a scene from the biographical and musical film Night and Day, 1946), Arlene Dahl (seated on a bed in a three-quarter length pose, in costume as Carol Talbot, in a scene from the film Woman's World, 1954), Julia Migenes Johnson (in costume as Carmen from the film version of Bizet's opera Carmen, 1984) and Linda Christian (seated in a half-length pose in costume as Miriam Marshall, opposite Rod Taylor in costume as Les Mangrum, in a scene from the film The V.I.P.s, 1963) and All are boldly signed in blue or black fountain pen inks, largely to clear areas of the images. VG to EX, 5 Provenance: The present photographs originate from the collection of Pierre Goulliard, a French gentleman who, for over 50 years, dedicated himself to obtaining in person autographs of British, American and European movie stars, always obtaining the signatures in fountain pen ink.
