The life of Mohammed, prophet of Allah. Paris, Piazza, 1918. In-4 brick morocco, copy numbered 369. The illustration consists of 19 single plates and 8 double plates by Dinet, and 12 color and gold titles out of text and ornaments in the text by Mohammed Racim, with a map of Hedjaz. First edition, dedicated "to the memory of the Muslims who died for France" and printed at 925 copies; n°925 of 800 on vellum. Sliman Ben Ibrahim Baâmer was the guide of the orientalist painter Etienne Dinet (1861-1929) during his trip to Algeria in 1889; he introduced Dinet to Bedouin legends as well as to Islamic spirituality and will realize with the latter not less than 8 works.
