Paris : Ambroise Tardieu, 1821. - 2 volumes in-8, red half-maroquin with corners, spine with false nerves decorated with gilt and cold motifs, untrimmed (Purgold Hering).
New edition of the translation in French verse given by Baour-Lormian of this famous epic poem by Le Tasse. It is dedicated to King Louis XVIII.
The illustration includes a portrait of Le Tasse after De Seve, and 3 engraved plates after drawings by Chasselas, Bergeret and Desenne, the same as in the 1819 edition

Splendid contemporary bindings by Purgold, one of the major bookbinders of the early 19th century. He was at that time associated with the English bookbinder Hering. Their collaboration lasted only 5 years from 1820 to 1825
