Firmin Didot), 1824]. - In-64 oblong, half parchment, ivory bakelite boards, first board decorated with a painted scroll decoration, surrounding a scene from the fable of the Raven and the Fox, carefully painted, under mica, and bordered with small gilt rods, second board decorated with a painted decoration representing a frame of foliage and in the center a cartouche in colors with the author's initials, smooth spine bearing the title in black calligraphy letters, gilt edges (period binding).
Nice and rare tiny edition of this collection of 21 fables by La Fontaine.
Copy without the title, illustrated with 4 engravings out of the 6 required (the first two are missing). They are here in colors, which is very rare.
