Paris : Nyon l'aîné & Fils, 1789. - In-4, seeded calf, gilt roulette on the boards, smooth spine decorated, gilt roulette inside, gilt edges (Bozérian).
Very beautiful edition, sought after for the quality of the engravings it contains.
It is illustrated with a frontispiece engraved by Tardieu after J. B. Piauger, and 48 plates of which 9 after Gravelot, 28 after Saint-Aubin, 3 after Eisen and 4 after Bolomey. The remaining 4 are not signed. The plates 35, 39 and 46 are folding.
A very nice copy bound by Bozérian.
Several browned leaves.
