Edition of Dante's "Divine Comedy", with commentaries by the Jesuit father and professor of philosophy Pompeo Venturi (1693-1752).
Beginning with a life of Dante and Petrarch, as well as a bibliography of the main editions of the work, it is illustrated with a frontispiece portrait of the author and a plate in the first volume.
A good copy. The binding has been completely rebound and the early 19th century spine has been brought back. Some foxing, rare traces of wetness.
