The B2 is the second automobile model of the great manufacturer Citroën, built by André Citroën between May 1921 and July 1926. In June 1921, it replaced its previous model, the Citroën Type A. It is equipped with the more powerful engine of the Type A, with 4 cylinders of 1 452 cm3 developing 20 to 22 hp for 72 km/h with a consumption of 8 liters of gasoline per 100 km as well as a 3-speed gearbox not synchronized.
It quickly gained a reputation for robustness and economy. The car was manufactured in large series, like the Ford T, and André Citroën personally studied the Taylorist manufacturing method during a trip to Ford. In 1925, until reaching the production of 400 vehicles per day in 1928, that is to say a third of the French car production at that time.
Our example is presented in its original configuration and is an ideal base for a complete restoration. A restart is to be expected.
