L.S. "Jean Cocteau" dictated to Raymond RADIGUET, March 3, 1922, to Germaine EVERLING-PICABIA; 1 page in-4.
Breakup with Francis Picabia.
"My dear Germaine You know that I love you very much, but alas, after the last piece of garbage I just received from Saint-Raphaël, it is impossible for me to see you again.
I will be very sad because I believed in the friendship of Francis [PICABIA]. He can answer that he uses it in the same way with all, it is inaccurate.
He is a wonderful housekeeper. Forgive me if I dictate this letter but I have been in bed for sixteen days with the flu and jaundice, still too weak to write myself.
Please accept my affectionate regrets and my gratitude for your attitude which has always been perfect"...
