(Corti) [Revue] LE SURREALISME AU SERVICE DE LA REVOLUTION. Paris : José Corti then Edition des cahiers libres, July 1930 - May 1933. 6 volumes large in-8° stapled under printed covers. Untrimmed, uncut. EXCEPTIONAL EXAMPLE of one of the most important surrealist reviews, under the direction of André BRETON, complete collection. Printed in large paper at only 20 numbered copies on Hollande. 1 of these. The 6 volumes are all numbered 1, justified in pencil then green pen by André BRETON, with his initials. Texts and illustrations by Marcel DUCHAMP, Tristan TZARA, Salvador DALI, André BRETON, Joël BOUSQUET, Paul ELUARD, Max ERNST, Alberto GIACOMETTI, Man Ray, René CHAR, André THIRION, Francis PONGE, René CREVEL, Paul NOUGE, Roger CAILLOIS, Jehan MAYOUX, ARAGON, etc. The covers from n°2 to 6 included are in phosphorescent printing according to the Radiana process, after a light exposure. Well complete of the rare flying supplement of 4 pages entitled: "Actualité de Sade - IVbis" in n° 5 and published separately, because of the licentious character of the text. Also complete in No. 3 of the banner: "What happens to surrealism? Where is the surrealism?", it is attached a catalog of Corti editions. A few rare and pale small freckles in the margins aside, NEAR NEW CONDITION of this magazine, uncut, the n°1 on Hollande.
