Fred and Ilse Mayer, Zurich.
Altars called Asen (usually a round sheet metal plate on which individual figurative representations were attached, the whole fixed on a +/- 150 cm. long iron rod) were erected to commemorate important personalities.
They were illustrative material for legends, myths and stories of the tribe.
