Cast in lost wax. Seated in Virasana. Making the gesture Bhumisparsa Mudra (taking the Earth as a witness).
The face of the Buddha expresses a gentle serenity underlined by the remarkable gold patina on lacquer.
Thailand, Ratanakosin period (Bangkok period), heir to the Ayuthya period, which best allows us to appreciate the quality and refined richness of Thai Buddhist art.
