Jan Bucquoy, born in 1945 in Harelbeke (Belgium), is a post-surrealist and situationist artist. He is a theater director, writer of numerous comics (The sexual life of Tintin), film director and author of numerous happenings. He is also known for his intrepid interventions on television, his annual coup d'état in Brussels and his more or less durable museums, such as the Museum of the woman or the Museum of the underpants, installed on the second floor of the Dolle Mol, famous libertarian coffee of Brussels which he animated during many years. This one moved and is currently located in the rue Haute at n°123.
