IMPOSSIVE HANGER in patinated bronze and gilt bronze representing Diana the hunter, draped in the antique style with her quiver (to be reattached) on her back, her bow at her feet and holding the prey brought back by the dog. It overhangs on a rocaille background, the enamelled dial, with date, Roman numerals for the hours, Arabic for the minutes and presenting the different phases of the moon signed "Gaston Jolly in Paris" which rests on a lying stag. The oval base is decorated with a bas-relief showing the departure for the hunt, and a decoration of nymphs, finished with six skids. Empire period (restorations, chips on the dial) 57 x 63 x 17 cm.
