JEWELRY BOX AND ITS PSYCHE
Work of the end of the XIXth

Small lacks of pearls and stones.
Two small quinquets which were mounted and screwed
on each of the columns of the psyche
are missing.
The key of the box is missing.
They are made of brass finely chased, painted amatis, gilded and decorated with scrolls enhanced with cold enamel of
cream color. In semis are chiseled stylized flowers with surrounding beads of turquoise cabochons,
garnet glass cabochons and half false pearls.
- The cushion-shaped box bears the number H. A, engraved under a viscount crown.
- The psyche of oval shape with beveled mirror is with arched base joined by a strut.
The whole turned metal decorated with turquoise and faceted purple stones. The two amounts
in lower part present a step of screw which allowed to position a quinquet.
