Parisian work, around 1730/1740.
Richly carved and gilded beech wood.

On the back belt and on 25 cm, a field of nails redone. Four fir wood brackets screwed. The ends of the legs are diminished. An arm to be reattached.
With a silencer to balance the seat. Many chips of gilding on the whole seat. Original gilding on the back.
Wear and tear to the cushion of the chair.
Pomegranate and acanthus decoration on the shoulders, flowery borders
on the armrests, and the armrests supports are set back
and whiplash-shaped. Four cambered legs with scrolling leaves and
foliage and palmettes at the belt.
Upholstery of brocade " à la dentelle ", Regency style, satin background
background, gold decoration of a flower blooming in ribbons of lace
lace, matching the sofa with triple evolution (Lot n°38) and the
Louis XIV stool (Lot n°37).
