In porcelain enamelled polychrome in iron red,
blue and gold, with "imari" decoration of phoenixes and peonies
peonies in poly-lobed panels on a background of flowering foliage
foliage. The cover's grip forms a shi-shi.
Total height 69 cm.
Mounted in gilt bronze.
Accidents and restorations, star-shaped crack under one.
Both restored to the lid and the grip of the latter.
