Beautiful diorama trade kachina representing Ahote wearing a mask with horns and prominent eyes underlined by three vertical lines in place of the traditional moon and sun. The body, red, has yellow shoulders, the arms are mobile. The kilt is white with a side panel decorated with colored lines and zigzag patterns. The legs are separated.
Kachina warrior and hunter, Ahote (or HO-O-TE) performs during dances, notably during the water snake ceremony. He is the harbinger of successful hunts. He traditionally holds a rattle and a bow.
