Unidentified Kachina (perhaps a hijacked version of Tuma-Oï). Wood (perhaps Douglas fir), pigments, feathers, wool, straw. North America, USA, Arizona, Hopi. About 1950/70 H : 38 cm Large unidentified trade kachina with a green background two-register helmet mask, painted with two rectangular eyes in the upper register and marked with vertical rain lines and a ladder pattern in the lower register. The ears, wide in spatula, are charged with a black triangle motif. The body is painted on a red background, marked with double horizontal lines. The arms are glued to the torso. The kilt is white, girded with a scarf with a side panel in relief with geometric patterns and sky stairs. The legs are separated, with green moccasins. Good stability on the ground
