About 1960
Salimboya (Sip-Ikne) wears a mask with a red background surmounted by a tuft of feathers, the eyes linked, directional flowers on the temples. The tubular mouth is simulated. The torso is barred with a scarf and the kilt has a belt in relief enhanced with black painted crosses.
The legs are separated, slightly bent in a dancing attitude. Salimboya (Zuni)/Sip-Ikne (Hopi) is a known kachina, a member of the council of the gods, who appears in the bean festival dances (Powamu) on the first mesa, as well as in the regular dances.
