AUBERT ( Charles-Félix, Valentine Vattier d'Ambroise, pseud.). The Littoral of France. Paris, V. Palmé, s.d. (1886). Volume one only : from Dunkirk to Mont Saint-Michel. Red half-chagrin, smooth spine decorated with gilt and silver plates by Auguste Souze, gilt edges. Illustrated with numerous engravings, plates in black or watercolored stencil. Binding slightly rubbed, traces on the title page.
DE WITT (Henriette Guizot). The chroniclers of the history of France. Paris, Hachette, 1886. Volume four only : from Monstrelet to Commines. Gd in-8, 700 p., red half-chag. with richly decorated smooth spine, boards decorated with gilt plates with inlay of blue cloth with fleur-de-lys, gilt edges. Text illustrated with 343 engravings, 46 plates in black and 8 plates in chromolithography. Binding very slightly rubbed.
