in duas partes divisa quarum prior Materiam Medicam posterior Composita et Praeparata.... exhibet. Editio sexta aucta et emendata. 2 Tle. in 1 Bd. Stgt, Loeflund 1798. fol. XVI p., 1 leaf, 132, 224 pp. Old leather of the time (rubbed and damaged). Cat. of the Josephin. The last of the editions of the Pharmacopoea Wirtembergica revised by the ducal personal physicians C.F. Jäger and J.G. Hopfengärtner. "Besides the Brandenburg-Prussian Pharmacopoeia, the Württemberg Pharmacopoeia enjoyed particular popularity during the 18th century. This is already evident from the fact that it was valid not only in Württemberg, but also in various other countries.... An essential advantage of the Württemberg pharmacopoeias is that even the simple raw materials are well described. The last edition, dating from 1798, is still characterized by a strikingly large number (107) of drugs taken from the animal kingdom". (Adlung/Urdang 322 f.). - With three detailed indexes (Latin, French, German) starting on page 177 - Spotted, St.a.T.
