As a physiologist he was the greatest of his time. The German translation was published in 1779-80, 3 volumes in-8°, with the following title "Sammlung academischer Streitschriften die Geschichte und Heilung der Krankheiten betreffend. Brought in a complete excerpt and annotated by Lorenz Crell" (Garrison-M.). - Some stains, library stamp on the back, bookplate.
