PEARLED TOBACCO BAG - Plains Indians, late 19th century - Skin, glass beads and sinew - Length : 37 cm - Leather bag with pearl and fringe. The two sides of the bag, following a symmetrical organization, are decorated with beads with geometric composition on a white background. If the two lower thirds are entirely covered with pearls, the upper section is different. Two teepees on each side emerge from a green band with six rows. On the lateral parts of the said section we find the same ornamental scheme of the polychrome geometrical design on a neutral background. The edge of the bag is dressed with a hem of pearls alternating - green, white and red. - A leather link is fixed on the upper part to be able to hang it or - hang it.
