Fine Kirman Laver (Persia, village of Raver pronounced Laver) late 19th century. Lamb's wool velvet on cotton foundation. Density of about 7,500 knots per dm2. Good condition. Good general condition. Stain on the back. Beautiful polychromy. With original decoration of succession of poly-lobed reserves inlaid with garlands and scrolls of flowers and stylized foliage, adorned with a central beige medallion with button of starry flowers. Five borders of which the main one is ivory with garlands of a thousand polychrome flowers in the form of broken stylized diamonds.
