Rare Ghiordes (Asia Minor, Turkey) around 1850. Wool velvet and inlays of cotton and silk. Some natural oxidation. Good general condition. Carpet of prayer form on emerald green field with mihrab, suspended oil lamp, double columns in the shape of stylized rolls. Ivory reserve with stylized flowers ruby. Triple borders of which the main beige silk decoration says: el maleh (stylized apples surrounded by foliage and stylized floral bulbs).
