First edition.
First part, the only one published, of the critical catalog of the lending library created by Adrienne Monnier in 1915. It is illustrated with an out-of-text photomontage by Janet
Le Caisne, a portrait of Adrienne Monnier in front of the shelves of her bookshop.
One of 20 numbered copies on Lafuma paper (n° 13), offered by the author to the historian Charles de La Morandière (1887-1971), with an autograph signed letter on the false title: à Charles de La Morandière // en amical hommage // Adrienne Monnier // Octobre 1932
The copy is accompanied by the autograph manuscript of the preface that Adrienne Monnier wrote in 1918 and that she had printed at the head of the catalog.
This manuscript, written in blue ink in a lined notebook on 21 pages, presents some differences with the printed version and unpublished passages.
A very nice copy.
