A BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN CHARGER, 15TH CENTURY China, Ming dynasty (1368-1644). The broad rounded sides rising from a short foot to a lipped rim, the interior painted in underglaze blue with a central medallion, surrounded by two rows of reserves depicting floral sprays, all above a basket weave ground. The exterior with floral sprays and a scrolling border. Overall covered in a crackled glaze. Provenance: Slovakian private collection. Condition: Very good condition, commensurate with age, manufacturing irregularities such as fritting, and with one chip at the foot rim. Weight: 1.5 kg Dimensions: Diameter 32.1 cm
