A TERRACOTTA BRICK DEPICTING A CHILD WITH STANDARD, SONG DYNASTY China, Song dynasty (960-1279). Depicting a young boy, in high relief, dressed in a green garment, his left holding a standard, all within a rectangular reserve. Remnants of green, red and white pigments. Provenance: Private collection, Belgium. Condition: Commensurate with age, remnants of pigments, chips, signs of weathering, and material loss.
