On the title page a handwritten note "ad B. Matrem Dolorosam 1727", and a stamp whose content is erased on the verso of the last leaf.
Restoration and short margin on the first two leaves, traces of wetness on the edges of the first 20 leaves, a few wormholes otherwise fresh interior.
Collection of prophecies attributed to Saint Methodius, bishop of Tyre and comments on the Turkish invasions by Wolfang Aytinger.
First illustrated edition in 1498, this one uses the same figures.
Complete with the preface of the editor Sebastien Brant. Certainly the oldest text we have on the function of illustrations in a text: Brant underlines the necessity of the image to allow a wider readership, and to reach the "ignorant".
