Small slotted drum "mukoku" Yaka, Democratic Republic of the Congo
Hard wood with a shiny brown patina
Height : 43,5cm / 17 1/8
Slotted drum used by diviners, topped by a face in the round forming a grip. According to the canons of the style, the nose is busted, the almond-shaped eyes split, inscribed in large and deeply marked orbits. The menacing mouth is open, the headdress made of a high bun.
Beautiful old size and patina of use.
A custom display base will be included with the lot.
