India ink and blue pencil on paper 29.1 × 44.5 cm (11.46 × 17.52 in.) This was my seventh album and my drawing had found a certain roundness. The proportions of the characters and vehicles were becoming more accurate and my staging was improving. However, my language was not yet as cinematic as it became later on. It was an album that I made in reaction to the xenophobic acts that were multiplying at the time. The theme of the small beings from space, addicted to an agricultural product, was found a little later in La Soupe aux choux. Just goes to show that great minds sometimes meet. Jean-Claude Fournier
