THE IMPERIAL PRINCE (Eugène, Louis, Jean, Joseph Bonaparte, known as Louis-Napoléon, known as Napoléon IV) (1856-1879) Exceptional and rare set of photographs and documents. Including 19 prints in business card format and 5 prints in cabinet card format, dedicated in black ink by the Imperial Prince on the mounting card or on the back. These prints bearing autographs or dedications were made throughout the life of the Prince Imperial for his friend Baron Tristan Lambert. - The young Prince Imperial in uniform, riding a horse, at the Camp de Châlons, 1863. This carte de visite was signed by Louis Napoleon 8 times between 1863 and 1875 on the back and bears a handwritten inscription in black ink: "Photograph given and signed by his highness Mgnr the Prince Imperial at Fontainebleau in July 1863 signed again by him to see him again in writing at Compiègne in December 1866.
