Probably French work of the seventeenth century The Circumcision of Jesus panel of embroidery in polychrome silks in split stitch or figure stitch, in a frame in gold thread and curl in couchure, thread and blade in guipure, highlights of sequins and canetille and polychrome silks for curtains and "peacock feathers. Height 32 cm, width 27 cm. Provenance : Josiane and Daniel Fruman collection. A 17th century presumably French embroidered fabric panel depicting the Circumcision of Jesus Christ.
