The motifs are surrounded and decorated with a gold cord, which is also used for the scrolls. The edges of the handlebars and the mantling are surrounded by a purple and gold Iberian braid. An exhaustive presentation, with bibliographic sources and documentation, is available on the website rouillac.com This processional handlebar (guion procesional) belonged to the José Moragas Pomar collection (1873-1945), and was exhibited from December 12, 1959 to January 7, 1960, under number 54 of the embroidery section, in the Sala Parés in Barcelona, where they were probably sold. It is given as "estandarte" and from the beginning of the 17th century. It is also indicated that "the design of the embroideries... was made in its time by the great masters of contemporary painting, as it is known and proven.
