Italy, 18th century Important altar panel called "Paliotto" in scagliola and marble, probably including : Sienna Yellow, Antique Green, Fiorito Alabaster, Brocatelle of Spain, Turquin Blue, Languedoc Red and Calacatta. Rich symmetrical decoration of vases, flowers and arabesques in inlay in autumnal tones. Length: 289 cm Width: 151 cm (Restoration). The panel has been reinforced with a metal frame so that it can be easily used in any arrangement. An impressive 18th century Italian marble and scagliola "Paliotto" (altar frontal).
