Without title. Without place or date. Relief painting on isorel (31,5 x 22 cm). Remarkable "peinturimpression", process between decalcomania and rubbing implemented by the artist. The Toulousan Adrien Dax (1913-1979) "discovered surrealist painting in the reproductions published by Minotaure. [...] Author of theoretical articles and stories of dreams, he is first of all a visual artist. He developed, with a shady discretion, a technique derived from the automatism, whose main variants are the "impressions in relief" and, from 1958, the "interpreted posters"" (General Dictionary of the surrealism and its surroundings, p. 118).
