Six-panel byobu screen with continuous painting of various autumn flowers, such as white chrysanthemum flowers (kiku) and some blue aster flowers (nogiku) amidst pampas grass (susuki). The painting reminds the style of the Rinpa school.
On a gold leaf background. The screen has a dark brocade border and is protected by a black lacquered frame with its original hardware. End of the Meiji era.
