The Italian designer Ron Sariel has been developing, since the beginning of the 2000s, a unique language where colored glass paste and silver metal are combined to give shape to fascinating and mysterious "sculpture-objects".
Having studied architecture and design in Italy and London, he is committed to reinventing the art object with sobriety and high standards. His enigmatic, strangely attractive creations bring together the warm depth of glass with the shine of silver. Although small in size, our two "box sculptures" play with scale, genre and style: are they decorative or utilitarian? Or do they announce larger architectures?
Manifestations of a vision as innovative as it is erudite, these two box-sculptures are typical of a singular and troubling approach.
