Ptolemaic armillary sphere in cardboard and engraved paper. Legs in blackened fruitwood. The mention " se monte et se vend chez DESNOS, rue Saint-Jacques, Saint-Séverin à Paris " is found in a cartouche on the central globe, on the zodiacal calendar and the meridian circle.
Dated 1753 for the earth, 1757 for the meridian circle and 1760 for the calendar. The assembly of the different parts of the globes in the workshop was frequent when it did not harm the historical or scientific meaning of the instrument.
