Rouen, chez Charles Ferrand, 1723. 10 volumes in-12, contemporary binding in full calf, spine with ornamented nerves, title and giblets in red morocco. Red edges. Binding faded on the whole series. Missing three pieces of tomaison and two pieces of title, bit of the first plate of volume 10 split from top to bottom, lack of leather at the foot of volume 3, bit split on 3 or 4 cm on volume 1, corners rubbed and a little more on volume 9. The work, very important in the 18th century, is decorated with engravings and maps; this copy contains 70 of the 77 expected. Frontispiece well present opposite the title of volume 1. Numerous title pages unbound. Rare and sought-after series, here in modest condition, sold as is.
