2 autograph letters signed, Nanterre, November 10 [19]84 and (s.l.n.d.). 3 pp. in-folio. One letter on paper on the letterhead of the Théâtre des Amandiers.
These two letters were written at the time Patrice Chéreau was staging La Finta Serva, the adaptation of Marivaux's La Fausse Suivante. He replies to one of his actresses and tries to make her understand that he is overwhelmed and that she must believe in his "affection and fidelity - all things in which you must believe, I dare say, once and for all (...)"; in the second letter (n.d.) he tells her that he cannot "(...) interrupt a scene again when it begins to come is often a hard frustration to bear and is bad for your work (I really wish you would understand this) (...)".
