dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: USA, Heavy, octagonal, rifled, 11 mm cal barrel made of iron, provided with a front sight with tubular sheath and with two compartments for rear sights filled with brass and horn block. With the Remington mark on the bottom side. Forward spring lock with flat plate, with remains of the signature 'R. MORE', outlines and engraved with small racemes. Mechanism needs revision ( the hammer works, but does not hold the cocking position). Light wood half stock with signs of use and time; big horn mouth. White metal mounts.
